Hi, I'm Courtney — aka
NONE OF MY FRIENDS WATCH ANIME.
A writer, broadcaster, and operations leader who's spent her career searching for and discovering the story in everything.
nomfwa
I flow between building brand voice(s) and operational structure, curating the perfect formula: communicating clearly enough that people trust you to lead them somewhere new.
Whether it's hosting community-night streams and anime watch parties in our community Discord, or helping a retail team get rooted in its neighborhood, I'm drawn to (and successful at) filling and building rooms for everyone.
I write a little bit about A little bit.
A selection of feature culture journalism, essays, and brand copywriting, including work for ESPN's The Undefeated and WESPN, Marie Claire, and Glamour, as well as concept and copy work for commercial clients.

all black everything (abe) summit –
Full Website Copy - Golden Launch Creative.
Our client, Joy Fennell, needed website copy that matched ABE’s mission: a semi-annual digital event that gives Black creatives the tools, connections, and confidence to turn their craft into a sustainable business. I wrote the full site from the ground up: the homepage, mission, story, and calls to action, developing a voice that was bold, urgent, and unapologetic. I believed that a summit about claiming your seat at the table shouldn’t sound like it was asking permission.
The challenge was tonal and had to read as a movement, not another event. I leaned into direct address, "You've made it this far, now what?" and short, declarative lines that hit like a mic drop, pairing them with grounding context. I wanted to show the real conditions Black creatives were navigating amid the cultural dynamics and social unrest of 2020, so the energy never felt hollow or shallow.
Come for the anime, stay for the vibes.
NOMFANIME = None of My Friends Watch Anime.
Over on Twitch, my community and I watch and talk about anime – it's part community, part chaos, part "wait, how did we end up here?" Somehow, it's turned into interviews, collabs, and charity streams that keep beating their goals. Come for the anime, stay because you forgot to leave.
